Truman is a passionate healthcare administrator from Chadbourn, North Carolina, who is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others. Growing up in a military family, he was inspired by his mom, a homemaker and healthcare hero, and his grandmother, who prayed endlessly for his future. Truman is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received his undergraduate degree in 2013, and East Carolina University, where he obtained his master’s degree in 2015. In his role, he leads a diverse team of committed and caring individuals to provide the best possible care to residents, while supporting each other. He also serves as a board member with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators and is deeply passionate about his role in helping to shape the face of healthcare by bringing passionate health professionals into the field. As a devoted husband and father to two beautiful children, Truman understands the importance of effective leadership that complements a high quality of life with proper balance. He encourages his team members to achieve balance in their personal lives and instills the belief that a work/life balance is achievable and that one should never sacrifice the importance of family.

Keyscha Kelly

Keyscha is an experienced nurse with a passion for providing excellent care to her residents. She started her nursing career in 1992 and obtained her nursing license in 1993. Since then, she has worked in a variety of nursing roles, including long-term care, behavioral health, home health, public health, drug addiction, and HIV. In 2020, Keyscha was appointed Director of Nursing, and in November 2022, she joined the team at Barbour Court. She takes great pride in providing residents with the best possible care and sees nursing as a calling, not just a job. With her wealth of experience and deep commitment to her residents, Keyscha is a valuable member of our healthcare team. Her dedication to the nursing profession is an inspiration to those around her, and she continues to make a difference in the lives of her patients every day.

Ashley Ellis
Director of Admissions
Ashley found her true calling in joining Barbour Court and helping people who need skilled nursing care and rehabilitation. Her background and education in business administration, experience as a Resident Liaison and Office Assistant, and serving in the US Air Force helped prepare her for her role as Admissions Director. Ashley has the important responsibility to help families and patients navigate the admissions process and ensure that they receive the care they need. This can involve coordinating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and family members to develop care plans and ensure that patients receive appropriate treatment.
With a passion for helping others, she is an asset in the healthcare industry and makes a positive impact on the lives of those in need of skilled nursing care and rehabilitation as well as their family and loved ones.
